Talking about this topic, I believe God has a purpose in it. Not everyone will understand, but I hope you do. For me, this is easy to talk about because it’s personal — it’s about my experience with photography. I’m not a professional, but I love taking photos and searching for the perfect spot to capture something meaningful.

As you know, I’m a rhythmic gymnastics athlete, and sometimes you need a way to relax — something to take your mind off the stress of training. For me, that “something” is capturing moments that speak, or simply admiring God’s creation through the lens.

Here’s what I mean: we often don’t think about what we’re doing — we just do it. And when you take a photo, you usually don’t stop to think that what you’re capturing is part of God’s creation. Have you ever thought about the phrase “a photo can change hearts”? It might sound strange, because we rarely use a photo to make people reflect on a message. Or, at least, not always. That’s one of the problems in the world today — photos are often used in ways that distort their meaning. But a photo should convey something good, something with purpose.

That’s why I felt so strongly about sharing this. A photo can say a lot. And if you’re not aware of what you’re showing or what message you’re sending, that might be the first thing you need to examine. A good place to start is by asking yourself: What am I trying to say or show in this picture?

The title helps too. “The Real Life” — that’s what your photo should capture. But the “Lens and Flash” act like filters that shape what the viewer sees. Think of the lens as beauty: does your photo reflect something beautiful? You might believe it does, because it’s your art. But try seeing it through the flash — the light of goodness. Don’t just ask if it’s beautiful to you. Ask if it’s good in God’s eyes. That shift in perspective can change how you see photography, and what purpose it serves.

Now that you know this, I hope it’s not new to you — maybe you’ve already been doing this all along. But if not, it’s a great opportunity to make a change. I encourage you to start now. Like the Bible says:

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

(Colossians 3:23)

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

(1 Corinthians 10:31)

So think about that. Let your photos express the goodness and beauty God gave us — to show the world that everything belongs to Him, and everything we do should be through Him and for Him. Let’s work on that together, and keep it in mind every time we take a photo — to show something that matters.

Hey! I’m here again to share a bit of my story — this time about a word that can feel too big or even impossible to some people: entrepreneurship. I’ll walk you through some questions that helped me understand it better — the benefits, the challenges, and finally, a little testimony from my journey as a carrot cake baker. 😄

Why should you care?

Like I said, entrepreneurship can be a great way to spend your time doing something productive. You might think, “I already have so much to do,” but be honest with yourself — how are you spending your free time?

What are the difficulties?

Let me be real with you — it won’t all be magical or easy. There will be problems. The hardest part is taking on more responsibility. Sometimes you have to sacrifice things you want to do. But it’s worth it.

Why do we overlook it?

You might be thinking:

“I don’t need more work.”

“I don’t have enough time.”

Or maybe you’re stuck in your comfort zone and don’t even realize it.

But those excuses aren’t good enough. You need to explore, try, and do new things. If you never try, you’ll never know what you’re capable of — or what you might end up loving.

How does understanding the problem change things?

Because once you realize you have time — and skills — you can take the first step. Yes, it’s scary to start. But once you do, you’ll see the rewards.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

IKIGAI: A Tool to Help You Start

One method that helped me is called IKIGAI. It’s about finding what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for. It helps you discover your purpose.

My Own Method: The Three T’s

If IKIGAI feels overwhelming, I created my own simple way to get started: The Three T’s.

1. Think about what you like:

Make a mental list (or use IKIGAI) — Do you love baking, drawing, DIY, sewing?

2. Take action and make a plan:

Figure out what’s possible for you. Take courses, practice your skills, and when you feel ready, start selling.

3. Trust the process:

There will be obstacles. But believe in the long-term results. Keep going, and you will see the fruit of your effort.

I hope this blog made you think more about the opportunities waiting for you. Starting something new is never easy, but with effort, we can achieve anything.

I began when I was just seven, using a carrot cake recipe my grandma gave me. Years later, I started selling cakes online, at school, and now — in a real café, as a supplier.

Adam Peaty is the best breaststroke swimmer in the world. He holds two world records — one in the 100-meter breaststroke and another in the 50-meter breaststroke. What’s especially interesting is that his 100-meter record has lasted longer than any other in that category without being broken.

But what’s even more powerful is that Adam Peaty is a Christian. He speaks openly about his faith and says his victories are for the glory of God.

To reach those achievements, though, he went through serious struggles. Two major ones stand out. First, he battled alcohol addiction after his divorce. Second, he broke his foot shortly before the Paris Olympic Games. Most people don’t see that side of an athlete’s journey. They focus on medals, not the pain and sacrifice it takes to get there. But when you understand those struggles, they can serve as motivation — a reminder that change is possible.

In Adam’s case, becoming a Christian led him to quit alcohol and turn his life around. And even with a broken foot, he competed — and came in second place.

In conclusion, we can look to Adam Peaty’s life as an example. Maybe you haven’t noticed a problem in your own life yet. But don’t wait. Take action now, before it’s too late. Let his story be a reason to start changing for the better.

Who made Forsaken

Forsaken is a survival game where you must escape an assassin before time runs out. It was originally created by Souldrivenlove, but due to some controversies, it was later handed over to another developer, Hytoko. Together, they helped shape the game into what it is today.

Why I love it

There’s so much I enjoy about this game — from the characters and the story (or lore), to the gameplay, the effects, and even the references to other games. What really impresses me is how they created such a strong atmosphere of suspense, tragedy, silence, and even beauty — all in one Roblox experience.

What it awakens in me

Forsaken makes me feel something — a mix of curiosity and empathy. I’ve connected deeply with two characters in the story, not just because of who they are now, but because of what they’ve gone through. Despite the dark setting, there are moments in the community full of laughter, creativity, and connection — moments that shouldn’t exist in such a hopeless world, but they do.

The story is set in a world you can’t escape from — a place created for the entertainment of a cruel entity. It’s cold, empty, and lonely. But that’s exactly what makes the moments of joy, solidarity, and cooperation so powerful. That’s how you win — not alone, but together.

What it’s meant to me

Lately, I haven’t had much time to play — school keeps me busy — but in the free moments I do get, playing Forsaken reminds me how much it means to me. It’s not just a game. It’s become part of my life, just like drawing.

Most of my drawings are inspired by Forsaken, by my friends, and the memories we’ve made playing together. The community, even with its flaws, is full of talent — people creating animations, art, stories, and even new games based on Forsaken. That love and creativity inspire me every day.

For me, Forsaken isn’t just a game, it’s a beautiful experience. A space where I can connect with people, get inspired, and grow. It’s taught me that even in the darkest worlds, there’s room for light, for change, for friendship.

So yes, we are Forsaken, but we are not forgotten.

Introduction

Have you ever seen The Starry Night? Have you noticed the brushstrokes, the movement, the emotion in every trace? That painting wasn’t just made — it was felt. That’s what art is: a reflection of what we’re going through. In this blog, I want to share why I believe art is one of the most powerful ways to express anything.

What is Art?

Art is emotion. It’s a form of communication that goes beyond words. Some people admire modern art, but it doesn’t always compare to the emotion and depth you can find in older pieces. Still, no matter the era, the real challenge is understanding what the artist was feeling, not just what they painted.

You can express yourself through a painting, through sports, photography — even gymnastics. Think about it: when we perform in gymnastics, we dance to music that matches the feeling we’re trying to convey. That’s art. And that’s just one example.

Often, people see a beautiful picture and say, “Wow, that’s nice,” but they don’t look deeper. They don’t ask, What is this trying to say? That’s the problem — people overlook the meaning behind art.

But maybe we can change that. Next time you go to a museum or see a painting, try to notice the traces, the colors, the feeling behind it. Think about what the artist wanted to express. Because anything — a photo, a painting, even a moment — can become art when it carries meaning.

You are Art

In the end, the most important thing to remember is this: you are art.

We are God’s masterpiece, made in His image. And just like art reflects the artist, we should reflect the One who created us.

So, create boldly, express deeply, and never forget the beauty God placed within you.

Do you know about Katniss, Robin Hood, or Legolas? Have you seen how they shoot arrows and hit the target? These characters practice a sport called archery — and in my experience, it’s an amazing one. You need strength, concentration, and coordination to be a good archer.

I realized how much I liked this sport when I went to CONADE. That moment opened my eyes to how archery could even help me travel.

In the world of archery, there are good and bad things — just like with anything else. For example, if you don’t know how to use the bow properly, you can hurt yourself. You might hit your arm when you release the arrow, or injure your neck with the string. That’s why it’s so important to learn how to use the bow correctly. And it’s okay if you don’t get it right away — at first, most people struggle. I’ve been practicing archery for two years, and I still don’t use the bow perfectly. But don’t worry — this is a sport anyone can do.

Archery is a repetitive sport — you do the same movements every day, but the goal is to do them better each time. You have to be persistent. You won’t become the best in one day, and that’s okay. There will be good days and bad days, but you have to keep practicing daily to improve. And when you start seeing results in competitions or hitting your goals, that’s one of the best feelings — knowing your hard work paid off.

Another thing people often think is that archery is easy. (I thought that too before I started!) And yes, like I said, it’s a sport anyone can do — but that doesn’t mean it’s simple. Once you try it, you realize it’s not just about shooting arrows. You have to focus completely, even with all the noise and distractions around you.

But don’t let that stop you. If you’re curious about archery, try it. Don’t keep waiting.

That’s why I think more people should try this sport. When you give it a real chance, you see what it’s really about — and you might even fall in love with it, like I did. Let’s help more people discover how great archery really is.

I am Professor Fernández, and it is my joy to introduce the first generation of Young Heralds, a student-run blog from our ninth-grade class in Mérida, Yucatán.

Think of this space as a small workshop of the soul where young authors learn to love the truth, practice goodness, and admire beauty by learning to name things rightly.

Classical education has always cherished writing because it trains the mind to attend, the heart to love, and the will to act.

When students labor to write well, they learn not only to persuade others but to shepherd their own thoughts—bringing chaos under the discipline of grammar, ordering ideas through logic, and adorning them with rhetoric. In short, writing is one of the Lord’s ordinary instruments for forming wise and courageous saints.

Young Heralds is, therefore, both a class project and a brave entry into the public square. In our classroom we read, argue, edit, and pray. Here on this blog, we step beyond the classroom walls to share that work with you—our school family and the broader Christian community around the globe.

We want you to hear the timbre of each student’s voice and to rejoice with us as they grow. Some lines will be tentative; others will ring with confidence. All of them will be offered to Christ, who is the Truth that gives meaning to every honest sentence.

Allow me to introduce our six writers, each with gifts the Lord has been shaping.

What, then, is our hope for Young Heralds? It is not mere performance or digital applause. We aim for something sturdier: discipleship through craft.

These students are learning that careful sentences can become acts of neighbor-love; that good style serves honest content; that a reader’s trust is a gift to be guarded with clarity and fairness; and that gratitude is the wellspring of courage.

We write under authority—Scripture as our lamp, the great Christian tradition as our tutor, our school, and families as our gracious patrons. In this, we are unabashedly classical and unapologetically Christian.

As we begin, I must give thanks to Christ for placing these students in our care and for placing us in theirs. He is doing quiet, good work among us—teaching us to attend, to repent of sloppy thinking, to rejoice when the right word finally lands.

And He is doing it here, in our little corner of the peninsula in Yucatán, where heat, humidity, and history meet. From this place we send out our small heralds, with our trumpets turned into paragraphs, trusting that faithfulness in small acts serve our the King.

Maybe you’re reading this because you find an incredible book saga that a film (for example Harry Potter, the lord of rings, Percy Jackson, Narnia etc.) and you’re not sure if you could watch the film first or read the book.

Here I’ll give you my own opinion and arguments of why I think it is better, and finally I’ll give you a biblical reflection about how we can see Jesus in this.

Well, in my opinion, I think books are so much better to start with.

And I’m not saying that films are bad, there are some that are very interesting, but the books give you more options to use your imagination and make your brain work. Here are four reasons to read the book and the benefits they have:

1. YOUR BRAIN WORK MORE

Maybe you think that reading is boring, but if you don’t practice, you can lose the ability. Like I say before, you use your imagination a lot, you don’t know how the character looks like or the scene, and your brain works to create your own version.

2. YOU FEEL MORE PERSONAL

Ok, everybody know that you can’t end a book in two hours, you can spend days, week or MONTHS, all this time you’re reading you’re meeting the characters deeply. You are knowing things like, what they think, how do they feel, and things you couldn't ever know or feel only if you watch the movies for two hours. :D

3. YOU EXPLAIN YOUR VOCABULARY

When you read you find new words, and you can use it or simply know what they mean, and with this you expand your vocabulary.

4. YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL VERSION

If you don’t know, the process to make a movie or TV show that is based on a book, the directors don’t copy the story and only make the movie. The story pass to a process to select what will be in the movie and what not, and what they want to include in the film, in other words, the movie is not the same as the book story.

5. THE JESUS MOMENT

And finally, the Jesus moment, in these years, Netflix, have a TV show called “The Chosen” and it’s about the life of Jesus and the gospels, and a lot of people think that is the same to watch the show or have your personal time with God. The Bible is the Word of God; there we find the importance of having Jesus with us in our life, and you can’t feel him only watching a TV show.

Why should we care?

The coral reefs are so important because they are one of the main contributors to the economy, and that is impressive. So, why are they big contributors? Well this is because people like the coral reefs, so many people come from different parts of the world to see the reefs, so when the people like the coral reef they take care about them and not only because they are important for the economy, but because they are good for the world.

Coral reefs bring us clean water, but continuing with the question about why they are a big contributor, we can see the case of Guam. Their reefs have a large fish biomass that each year brings $2 million and for the presence of sharks and turtle, they bring like $15 to $20 million in a year for the economy.

Another thing is the bad side, like what is happening in Bermudas. They have a conflict about a construction of wider and deeper pathways for cruise ships but this is so bad because this put in danger the coral reefs and the restoration of the reefs is so expensive, like $1,600,000 to $6,400,000 — That’s a lot of money…

If we don’t do something, the policymaker will do it.

So we need to take care of the coral reefs, they are so significant because they give us clean water and so many animals live there.

One of the most difficult topics to understand are black holes because we know them completely but thanks to the EHT EVENT HORIZON TELESCOPE the first image of a black hole called shadow in the galaxy M87 was taken, but a problem is that the images of black holes are not very exact so the CFA creates theoretical models about matter and black hole disks, also thanks to the research of the EHT the largest black hole so far is the Meal Sets.

Something that many people don’t know is that there are 3 categories of black holes first there are stellar mass black holes that are born from the death of other stars larger than the sun and when they stop shining their nuclei become black holes under their own gravity.

The other type of black hole are supermassive black holes they are the monsters of the universe and live in the center of almost all galaxies and their mass varies from 100,000 to billions of times the mass of the sun and these black holes can shine bright enough to be seen millions of light years away.

Finally, the last category of black holes are intermediate mass black holes, these are the most mysterious since we have only seen one. They weigh 100 to 10,000 times the mass of the sun, although like supermassive ones, we do not know how they are born or grow.

Now that we see all this we can see that black holes form a very important part of astrophysics that combines relativity with physics and quantum mechanics and although many people see black holes as destroyers in reality they control the balance of the universe since they are like space trash cans, which leads us to think about how interesting they are.

If you’re reading this, it’very probable that you enjoy watching cartoons or drawing, even if you’re not good at it, and if you’re not, even better! Because I’m going to show you why for many people it’s more than “just strokes and lines” and how drawing it’s connected to the gospel.

Is drawing just strokes and lines?

To start, drawing isn’t just “strokes and lines with shape,” although to many it may seem silly, difficult, or even boring to have a hobby like this. This is because they truly don’t understand why drawing is considered art.

You see, buddy, for some reason “drawing” is considered art, right? Do you want to know why? Well, I’ll tell you!

The art of draw

Drawing, besides being a hobby, is also a form of expression. For example, if you like a movie and want to share your fascination with others, a creative and eye-catching way to do it is by drawing it, whether by drawing the movie’s characters, something related to it, among many other options.

Everybody can draw

It doesn’t matter if you draw badly or if your drawings don’t turn out well, because all drawings are art. Even if it’s a simple doodle, if it means something to you, then it is, indeed…art.

As we said before, drawing is a way to communicate and express our tastes, thoughts, feelings, and even our culture and religion. And just as we can draw what we like, we can also glorify God through drawing in many ways, and those ways you will have to discover.

The ability to play sport and doing it for his glory

Hi, my name is Mariana Magadán, and I’m a rhythmic gymnastics athlete.

I love my sport, but what I love the most it’s talking or sharing about Jesus at it. I’ll start talking about what rhythmic gymnastics it’s about: gymnastics is a sport that blends ballet, dance, and gymnastics by combining acrobatic elements with graceful manipulation of handheld apparatus like the hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon. Athletes perform choreographed routines to music, either individually or in teams, showcasing skills such as flexibility, leaps, rotations, and intricate apparatus work. Right now I’m performing in a team, we are 5 girls in it.

Now, let’s talk about a little bit more of the topic I choose. I’ve been 10 years doing rhythmic gymnastics and by this hole time I can say that God’s presence has been with me through it all. God has given me an ability to do the sport, but he also gave me the ability to talk about him and doing it, all the time.

My team is a special team because I know that God chose the girls and the team for me, they are really amazing, really funny, and I love spending time with them but what I thank God the most is that they have a really nice and kind heart to hear all the things that I want to share with them, especially talking about Jesus. I actually have the opportunity to read the Bible with them, and it was incredible. Thanks to the Lord, I also started the custom to pray with them before we go inside the carpet and after getting out.

It’s really a special moment that we have like a team, because we are all connected and having a really important time with Jesus. I also feel like a really deep peace inside because I can be talking with the Lord before entering the carpet like I always do, but now it’s different because I’m surrounded with people that maybe don’t know Jesus and praying with them is the perfect moment so they can know him a little bit more.

So don’t give up sharing about Jesus wherever and whenever you can because it will be worth it, because even if you don’t realize it, but you will be planting a seed that will soon bloom. Therefore, I encourage you to move on because we have been called to make the world a better place to live in, so take away the pain and arm yourself with courage because a word can move mountains as long as you have faith in the process.

It doesn’t matter what language you speak, because we all speak the language of Flag Football.
